In 1925, Orville William Hubbell founded O.W. Hubbell & Sons, Inc. He developed a highway safety company, fabricating and installing highway guardrail and signs. The steel portions of these products had to be galvanized. In 1968 to meet productions needs the company built their own hot dip galvanizing plant. The company grew from a New York State operation to cover all of New England. Allen William Hubbell, son of Orville Hubbell, was an active presence in the company until his death in 2005.
Currently, Orville's grandsons Dan Hubbell and Jock Hubbell are President/CEO and Vice President respectively. Today, they still serve all of New York State, New England, and Pennsylvania. The galvanizing plant has expanded capabilities. The galvanizing kettle size is 4 ft. wide x 43 ft. long x 6 ft. deep. They operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The main office moved to 5124 Commercial Drive East, Yorkville in June of 2006. We have the powder coating and hot dip galvanizing facilities in one location.
